Making a Photo Gallery
For months I had been admiring a menagerie of gorgeous photo galleries on social media. Making my own had been on my βto doβ list for quite some time. I finally had a long weekend and decided to delve into the challenge!

My home is my refuge – it is my safe place. To say I am a “homebody” would be an understatement. I am happiest when I am at home!
Over the years I have tried to make my home an inviting, tranquil space. Early on, I’m sure I went about this the wrong way. I know I owe my poor husband and two sons an apology! I was such a perfectionist (and I am not bragging). I made all of us miserable with my attempts to stage a perfect house. Yes, it was beautiful, but it sure lacked the comforts of what I now call home.
Over time I began to realize how intricately entwined my own mental, physical and spiritual well-being was to living in a peaceful, tranquil environment. As crazy as it sounds, if I felt like my home was in order, life in general seemed orderly. So slowly, very slowly, I began to make changes.
And honestly, it was the “little things” that made the greatest impact for me. The glow of a lantern in the evening, the refreshing scent of a burning candle or a small vase of fresh flowers on the counter did amazing things. I learned to take on small projects, not large ones that were overwhelming. I learned to live more simply and with greater purpose.
For Mother’s Day this year, my precious daughter-in-law gave me the most amazing book and the cute bird, tea light candle holder. She knows me well. The book, πΏπππππππ: ππππππ ππΌππ ππ πππππππ ππππ ππππ, π½ππΏπ πΌππΏ ππππ, is by Melisssa Michaels. So much inspiration and encouragement offered in this publication. And I am also one of her most enthusiastic followers on Instagram (@theinspiredroom)!
My daughter-in-law purchased the book and candle holder from Amazon. For your convenience, I am including the links.
